Spooky Forest

[Download: audio | video | cover images]

Stumbled across a lost and forgotten audio project from five years ago. It was active between December 23 and 26 2014.

I can find little information about it, but there are no links to other projects. I’m unsure if I ever posted it, or if it was ever incorporated into another project, but it seems self-contained, and complete. I mighta well push it now. I slammed this video together from photos I had laying around.

I want to start the video over from the beginning. I learned a lot in making this one, it could be so much better. But I’m exhausted of it at this point, I’ll apply the lessons I’ve learned to upcomming projects.

Sacrilegious K: The Traitor (the profane, the disturbed, the wrong)

[Download: audio | video | cover images]

A tritone sine wave is duplicated, phase inverted, and offset from the original at 1 ms per quarter note. The result is converted to MIDI twice with slightly different parameters for each. These MIDIs are played through the same virtual instrument. The four tracks are stitched together in reverse creation order.

Kozai Mechanism

[Download: audio | video | cover images]

Gracie the cat visits for us for this spooky dronescape filmed in rural east texas and featuring fieldrecordings from various urban and rural areas of north central texas.

It’s taken me over a year to release this one. I worked on it on and off from May 2018 to October 2019. The video clips are from June and December 2017. I ran into a paradox of choice. I had too many titles, and too many versions to choose from, and froze. In coming back to it I decided to just release the last file that was tagged and touched. That was easy, wish I’d thought of that before.
