I was up in your neck of the woods today
Hiking the trails
For a moment I was back in Arkansas
And you were back to being yourself
Pixie
I know you’re here, somewhere,
Your soul clings to the hills
And your delusions fill the valley

Poems without Explosion A call for sanity
Oh, sorry, in my excitement
I forgot all about informed consent.
You may wanna know:
You’ve Been Upgraded to Muse!
At least I hope it’s upgraded,
It may be a downgrade,
Hell, it’s probably something
You don’t want at all.
Muses do tend to burn fast
Blow up
And leave craters behind.
I’ve seen enough craters.
(Right?
No craters!)
Let’s just say,
Being true to my own nature (poet),
I’ll write about things I find intriguing,
Including you.
Poems without Explosion!
A chunk of the truth
I’m not looking for love,
I’m not looking for sex
I’m looking for a poem.
And maybe sex,
And maybe love
Days like today
Days like today
Need a sun hat
And I got a sun hat
Keep it with me
Had it for years
Since before
I’m a poet
And a good one
But not good enough
Can’t finish that line
